Hey everyone! I’m off to Memphis now to play a cool show tomorrow and then heading to Reading PA to meet up with Kris Allen and write with him for his upcoming album. Lots of other exciting things in the works. The bracelets and website for the bracelets are coming along amazingly. They should be in all kinds of stores across the US by mid October. And then you’ll finally be able to get the songs from my long overdue solo album! I’m so excited! Also, all you international fans will be able to order the bracelets directly from the Black Star Bracelet website which should be up and running by the end of this month. And the cool thing is that once you’ve ordered your bracelets, you’ll be able to download your free song right there and then…no waiting for your bracelets to arrive in the mail! Much more details about all that later.

I’ve shot a reality show pilot with Dick Clark Productions and we will be pitching it to all the biggest networks this month. It’s a really cool show that will be documenting everything I’m doing to release my album independantly here in the US. I’ve signed with EMI Records for an international deal, and they will be facilitating the release of the single and album worldwide (except US) starting first quarter next year. Due to the potential reality show, touring scheduling and EMI International’s release timing, it made sense to push our US single release from end of this month to the beginning of January. I’m happy to say this push didn’t have to do with the fact that we aren’t ready, cause we finally have everything in place! It just made sense on many levels. And I’m so happy that all the songs on the album will actually be purchasable via the bracelets in the next month or so, so you all don’t have to wait till the actual album hits stores first quarter next year.

I will be doing lots of promotion and even instore performances for the bracelets in the US the rest of this year at places like FYE, which is one of the last remaining large record store chains. These bracelets are going to be everywhere; from grocery stores to movie theaters to pharmacies to record stores to gift shops to airport news stands to department stores to clothing stores, to book stores, etc. Never before has this sort of thing been done or has an artist been able to release his music in so many different places….places that have never even carried music. US fans, keep your eyes out for some of my new music to be featured in TV shows like Vampire Diaries and Melrose Place over the next few months. And we’re shooting the music video for the first single “Tonight” on October 10th! This video is gonna be like a mini movie. I got a huge TV show director to do it and he’s gonna make it nuts! Got vampires and car chases and flying and all kinds of things! I’ll be able to share it with you all before the end of the year, right before the single launch in January.
